My Mom passed away at 99 yrs and she was quite the artist!
My mom gave me this painting for Christmas in 1991. It depicts Brandon's house in Merrimack. We got married on the stoop of the back door. After the wedding was over and the tent was removed we started a mounded garden and grew an assortment of veggies. We were overwhelmed by the amount of produce that the garden produced. So we started canning and freezing. The favorite recipe was for Kosher Dill Pickles, my family received many jars of pickles for Christmas that year. After that Christmas our house was named "The Pickle Factory", hence the name of the oil painting my mother gave me.

The light of my life is gone and so are our parent's . May peace come to the living and the dead.

My Father in Law  wanted to plant a tree for Brandon. But our cemetery doses't allow for perennial flowers, shrubs or trees. So my in laws sent the tree to me to plant in the yard here on the farm. It is very beautiful and it made me cry. Zorra christened the pot when it was placed in her yard.. she approves.

Now my mother in law  is in an Urn buried next to Brandon's tree and Blanca the penguin is marking the spot till the marker is finished. My Mother in law wanted to have her ashes placed here at the farm planted near our pear tree. But I thought she would like to be near Brandon too and I planted 3 pear trees behind the hydrangea,so I think this fulfills her wishes.
