What's Up at WRLG
FARM BLOG
FROM THE FARMERS POINT OF VIEW
Sparkle is OK when she is outside in the sun, but in the barn, she tends to follow the same route and I need to keep hay feeders and water buckets in the same places and not move them. I put the lights on in the barn at night when I feed the sheep and Donkey and that seems to help, but I don't like leaving them on all night.
Sparkle isn't pushing me around and is much more careful moving around the animals. The sheep are also more wary of her and avoid blocking her path whenever possible. The blowing snow has been an issue for her as she wants to eat her hay outside, even with this really cold weather. But the 40 mph wind gusts have caught her in the face and she overreacts and runs back into the barn. Luckily nothing bad happened to her or the sheep. As the wind dies and it warms up a bit, I will move the hay farther from the barn giving her and the sheep more room to move. It is a good thing the flock is much smaller, less things to run over or into.
