Brandon and I both loved to cook and as many people knew, Brandon loved to talk about how to cook whatever you had bought or were thinking of buying.​

Roasted Pizza Passata! I made 22 jars this year , at least 3 different sizes!
 I will continue to cook locally raised meat, bake with my hens eggs and use local farmers produce and fruit to make all those good things in jars that Brandon was so proud of.

Finally found beets to pickle!

The garden did not get expanded as I planned, so next year I will have quite a bit of work to do. The problem was all the rain in June and July...the grass and weeds got away from me!

New this season: Hamburger Dill Slices. They have no sugar and only dill and mustard seed as a part of their seasoning.

I love preserving what  each season has to offer.  There is always a variety of local  produce and fruit that can be frozen,dried or canned .  As you eat the jam or sprinkle the dried herbs in a sauce ,that is when you get to relive the tastes of the season.
