Baby it's cold outside!

The wind is fierce and is howling ! It is causing the cold (-3 degrees) to go through the nooks and crannies of this old house. I have been using my portable oil heater in the kitchen so the pipes won't freeze. I didn't let the young layers out this morning, but they seemed content to eat, drink and roost. I will replace their probably frozen  water with fresh before it gets dark.
The sheep aren't bothered by the cold, but attacked the hay as I spread it out this morning. Zorra does fine on the road, but in the snow her feet get cold very quickly,so she prefers to relieve herself in the road that is plowed but snow covered.
I was supposed to wash my hair today....but I think it can wait!
