FARM BLOG
FROM THE FARMERS POINT OF VIEW
Yesterday the ground was brown with a bit of green. The chickens were out and about scratching up the earth, doing what chickens do. But by 4 pm yesterday it was snowing at a pretty good clip. The sheep didn't mind and most of the chickens went back into the coops without my assistance. This morning I heard chicken noises coming out from the hoop house. Two hens were enjoying the warmth of the hoop house and really didn't want to cooperate with Zorra and I to back to their coop. It is sunny and warm this morning so the doors are open on the coops, but no chickens want to come out on the snow.
The farm is open for business and if you need a dozen eggs, good things in jars or meat....I have it. For the next 15 days I am off from work as my boss has suspended our gymnastics programs till the end of the month. So if you are in need call: 648 2595 and leave a message. I don't answer the phone unless I know who is on the other end! |
