FROM THE FARMERS POINT OF VIEW
My chickens were attacked this afternoon by an aerial predator. The chicken who was killed was one of the more dominant girls. Now I have to catch the scattered girls one at a time as they are frightened. I don't blame them...it was probably very traumatic. So I am off to gather the girls and get them back into the coop.
I did catch almost all the girls but they were very wary of me, so I brought Zorra out to help, but she got a bit too excited and tried to bit one of the girls as I put her in the pen. Luckily for Zorra she only nipped my glove, but I corrected her and she didn't try it again. I think there are 2 more chickens who are hiding, possibly in the sheep barn. I will check when I go out to feed the sheep. Comments are closed.
