What's Up at WRLG

It is Lambing season......really...?

This is a view I see almost everyday....the ewes are very inquisitive especially if I am bottle feeding their lamb.  This has been a busy season, at one point I had 6 ewes confined and two of the mothers adopted other ewes lambs. This is very unusual, but all adopted lambs are happy and healthy . But I lost 4 lambs for a variety of reasons..all of which make me sad.
I have 2 ewes left to give birth, one is a middle age ewe and one is only a second timer. Hopefully all the births will go fine.
I am sleeping better now as I am only doing  3 bottle feedings a day and soon will be down to 2 feeding a day...........but the lambs are so cute....it is hard to get up early but once I am in the barn and doing my chores the animals always make me happy!
