What's Up at WRLG
FARM BLOG
FROM THE FARMERS POINT OF VIEW
My Thanksgiving prep started on Tuesday when I picked up 2- 11 lb Vermont turkeys I picked up from Yankee Farmers Market in Warner. I took one of the birds apart and vacuum packed the parts. The other turkey I brined on Wednesday around noon and then took it out of the brine before I went to bed and dried it off and left it to dry in the basement fridge. I was up very late on Wednesday....actually it was Thursday morning when I got into bed. But I got up at 8 am to get the bird out and ready to put in the oven. I enjoyed the preparation for the meal and sharing it with my former neighbor. After dinner was over my friend left and I did my farm chores and the dishes before I headed to my friends house for dessert and a movie. It was a very nice day overall. I am very thankful for all my friends, family and workmates for their support since Brandon's death, I am very lucky. Comments are closed.
